Established in 1973 we have been delivering the news ever since whatever the weather.
The delivery business began with a small round in and around Benenden. This was started by Alec Wren who the passed the round onto his daughter Linda (thats me) and son-in-law Fred (thats him).
We had the news-round initially as a side line with our main jobs. Then we had the opportunity to open a shop in Cranbrook High Street in 1976.
Back in 1976 we traded from 21 High Street, which was a traditional sweet shop. It is now Julie Ann Angels, an Angel and Jewellery Shop.
We moved from 21 High Street to 29 High Street (our present premises) in 1990. The shop was then called ‘Dykes’ being owned by Mr Ted Dyke who ran the shop with his sister Mrs Pat Slatter.
We have continued to expand our business over the last 3o years and still consider our customers to be a priority when it comes to service.
Thank you for taking the time to read our potted history, when I have time I will add a bit more. Linda
